This is a fine art print of the original watercolour & ink painting of the Old Deer Park in Richmond.

Owned by the Crown Estate, the park is a biodiverse landscape spreading across Richmond, Isleworth and Kew. The park here can be seen to be flooded, this is because this part of the park is an allocated flood relief area for the Richmond Lock & Weir.

The present name was adopted after 1637 when James's son King Charles I established the much larger Richmond Park. The 360 acres of open greenery house the Grade I listed King's Observatory, Royal Mid-Surrey Golf Club, a pair of stone obelisks (used to observe the transit of Venus in 1769) and the Richmond and London Welsh Rugby Union Clubs.
