This is a fine art print of the original watercolour & ink painting of the farewell of the RMS St Helena on February 10th of 2018. The ship was the only physical link to the outside world for the islanders, for nearly three decades; as a result, the islanders formed a powerful bond with this ship, relying on it for years. The dispatch of the trusty ship included a full-scale parade to honour the staff over the years since its maiden voyage in 1990, the whole affair proved to be a tear-jerking moment. The role of the RMS St Helena now falls upon the island's airport. See it for yourself by going to what3words.com and entering: enveloped.history.doorstop
