Kew’s Red Palace is one of the smallest and least known of the Royal Palaces, but not for a lack of history.  The palace, built-in 1631, with George II being the first of many Georgian royalties to use the Red Palace as a weekend retreat. It even came to be the place of King George III’s imprisonment during his years of madness.
