This is a fine art print of the original watercolour & ink painting of the celebrations of Christmas on St Helena. The Christmas Parade begins on Christmas Eve, with many schools and churches taking part in the festivities. Most of the island takes part either dressing up and dancing down the main street in Jamestown or cheering on their fellow islanders from the roadside. The party often goes on until the early hours of Christmas Day, before a family gathering for Christmas dinner in the evening. However, Boxing Day (26th) sees the biggest public event of Christmas on St Helena - the ‘Party on The Bridge’, and the entire island comes together to relax and socialise, before the New Year.
