This is a fine art print of the original watercolour & ink painting of the Historic Centre of Recife. This city is the fifth-largest urban area in Brazil and is a major tourist attraction thanks to its historic ties to both Dutch and Portuguese colonisation. Recife first became a significant city in 1537 when it was the first slave port in the Americas. Later, it became, Mauritsstad, the capital of Dutch Brazil, a colony of the Dutch West India Company, in the 17th-century.  Visit Recife yourself by going to what3words.com and entering: swanky.flame.homes
